1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing, browsing, or using the website at https://austinaux.com, downloading any audio software plugins, Max for Live devices, or sound libraries, or playing browser utilities such as EarBlitz Arcade, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service (“Terms”) and our Privacy Policy.
These Terms apply to all visitors, registered users, and creators who access or use the services provided by Austin Aux (“we”, “us”, or “our”), operated by independent artist and developer Austin Ross. If you do not agree to all terms and conditions, you must discontinue use of the site and services immediately.
2. Audio Software & Plugin License Grant
Austin Aux provides digital audio signal processing (DSP) plugins, Max for Live instruments, effect racks, and sample packs designed for music producers and audio engineers.
Subject to your compliance with these Terms, Austin Aux grants you a personal, worldwide, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to download, install, and execute the binary builds of our software (including VST3, AU, and .amxd formats) on your local personal computers and digital audio workstations.
You May: Install our software on multiple computers, use it in commercial or personal music productions, and share direct links to austinaux.com/tools with other producers.
You May Not: Decompile, reverse engineer, disassemble, modify, rent, lease, sublicense, resell, or distribute binary installers or source archives as your own product or on third-party software hubs without express written authorization from Austin Ross.
3. Royalty-Free Commercial Music Rights
Austin Aux believes creative software should empower artists rather than encumber them with restrictive licensing claims:
- 100% Commercial Output Ownership: All audio recordings, songs, compositions, beats, sample packs, podcasts, or sound designs created using Austin Aux plugins (such as AuxClip Pro, AuxFormant, or AuxHarmonizer) are 100% your property.
- No Royalties or Licensing Fees: You are not required to pay royalties, licensing fees, or revenue splits to Austin Aux on music produced using our software tools.
- Attribution: Track credit or software attribution (e.g., “Mixed with AuxClip Pro”) is appreciated, but never legally mandatory for releasing commercial music.
4. Web Utilities & Arcade Games (EarBlitz Arcade)
Interactive browser tools, including EarBlitz Arcade and audio visualizers, are provided free of charge for ear training, pitch calibration, and recreational enjoyment:
- Browser Compatibility: We strive for cross-platform compatibility across modern browsers supporting the Web Audio API, Canvas, and WebAssembly. Performance may vary based on hardware acceleration and audio interface drivers.
- Microphone Input: Real-time pitch tracking features require temporary browser microphone permissions. This access is utilized strictly for real-time fundamental frequency analysis within your browser's local sandbox and is governed by our Privacy Policy.
5. Original Music Stems & Remix Rights
Multitrack audio stems made available on our Music page are distributed to encourage collaborative remixing and production education:
- Creative Commons Non-Commercial (CC BY-NC 4.0): Unless otherwise stated, stems may be remixed, transformed, and shared for non-commercial purposes, provided proper attribution is given to Austin Ross.
- Commercial Sync & Master Licensing: If you wish to use original Austin Ross musical compositions, master recordings, or vocal stems in commercial film, television, games, advertising, or monetized releases, please initiate a commercial licensing inquiry via our Contact Page.
